How did u install the PHP? from port or from package ?

If u install it from port and DIDN'T use " make clean" afterwards, u can go to /usr/ports/sysutils/portupgrade/ and "make install". This is a very useful util which can help u easily upgrade ur software from port-collection. ( in case u keep port collection and upgrade it in time-base)
If u install it from package then u can use pkg_update or pkg_delete+pkg_install.

/usr/ports/sysutils/portupgrade/是一个用于升级“用port所安装的程序”一个工具吗?
DIDN'T use " make clean"

1 u can get .tgz from FreeBSD mirror site, check it:
http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/handbook/mirrors-ftp.html
2 Well, installing from port-collection is recommended, since it's always up-to-date.
3 If u use "make clean" after u installed the software, u can only delete and upgrade by using pkg_xxx command. "make clean" will clean all the cache that produced by "make install" process.
4 $less /usr/ports/sysutils/portupgrade/pkg-descr, u will see the usage of portupgrade packages.
