Motorola Sb5100 In Fedora Core 2

If anyone can help me, that would be of great value.

My problem is as follows:

I recently installed a fresh copy of Fedora Core 2, and prior to that I was using Fedora Core 1.

In Fedora Core 1, I had my SB5100 Cable Modem (Motorola) working smoothly via USB.

Since I wiped out my linux partitions and threw Fedora Core 2 on my machine I've been getting problems.  The install of FC2 would not even boot when my modem was plugged in via USB; but once I unplugged it...voila, the install continued as per normal.  The same ordeal occurs at startup when looking for new hardware, it probes, and continues to probe...until eternity  biggrin.gif.

I guess I could switch to NIC, and see how that works, but I'd rather get it working via USB.

If anyone has any suggestions, please send a reply.

Thanks,

StatsfX
