Can't Connect To The Internet
Subject: Can't Connect To The Internet

Whenever I use Mandrake 9.1 or Licoris I can't connect to the Internet through my local netework.
It says that I'm online and I can see I am connected when I ping any internet address from the console, using numbers or even using lynx command.
But I can't see anything when I use Mozilla or other browsers.
I have no problems like that when using Windows XP. When I test my internet connection it says I'm connected.

Can you help?

Leszek

Make sure you have your gateway ip address (server lan ip) entered.

Name resolution is not set. Check if you can ping 216.109.118.74:
CODE

#ping 216.109.118.74

Check if you can ping www.yahoo.com:
CODE

#ping www.yahoo.com

If the above doesn't work add your ISP's domain name server (DNS) IP addresses to your /etc/resolv.conf file like this:
CODE

nameserver 66.66.66.66

and try pinging again,

x86
