I jus bought a dedicated server, now i need to transfer all my files from one server to the other.

But it is ~10 gigs of info, so it would not be the best idea to have to d/l em all, then reupload em off of a slow cable upload.

So i need a command line based program that can download whole directories at a time.

I tried wget, but i could not figure out how to get it to work, it kept saying the .listing file was not there (but i thought that it was supposed to create the .listing file itself)

and i tried the basic ftp command but it does not want to d/l anything more than one file at once either.

thanks in advance

I believe mput and mget (under ftp) are used to download multiple files. You might want to check the syntax for directories,
