I had the same problem and I am not having that problem with my flash player for some shitty reason but go and get Java JDK1.5.0 with NetBeans and install in just under its default install path and for some reason it worked for me I tried JDK1.5.0 without net beans and for some stupid reason it didnt want to work so try that and you should be able to get your java working again.  If you or anyone else who sees this can help me with my flash problem that would be greatly appreciated.  I have installed and reinstalled Flash 3 times now and itstill wont work right so if anyone knows how to fix this for a Fedora Core 3 box with Firefox 1.0 thanks.
