well, this sure as hell is annoying!

i've been using some windows proprietary crap that came with my sony ericsson t630 mobile to download/upload to/from it, but recently windows being windows has decided to corrupt my usb drivers, and i can't really be bothered fixing it seen as i don't use windows for anything other than proprietary needs.

so, for the past week or so i've been looking for linux software to do the same - can i find any? can i *cough*!!!

problem is, everything i find is bluetooth only, possibly because linux and bluetooth go together so well, but i don't really plan on buying a bluetooth dongle when i have a perfectly good usb data cable to use.

anyone know of some linux prog that lets me send/recieve from my t630 through a usb serial cable? i'm not fussy, but support for downloading pics from it (i use the camera a lot when i'm drunk and can't operate a real camera ) is a need. transfering themes/ringtones/etc... is a bonus but i don't really care much for that - its all set how i like it already.

ty.

Not sure about the USB cable. This is for the IrDA:

thanks, but surely theres a way to use my serial cable? closest i've come is cobex, which is basically a serial version of obex, but they claim you can only send files to the phone and not recieve, as this isn't a feature on them... kinda crappy explanation considering it works perfectly using the windows-proprietary crap that came with my cable...
