hi 2 u all..

  well i'm kind of new here and to linux, i installed the amsn 0.94
  installer version on redhat 9, instalation worked fine but
  when clicked - nothing happend.
 
  can someone direct me on how to find the porblem/support ?

Is that the MSN messenger thing? Just use Gaim, it more than likely allready installed on your system.

if you launch from a terminal, instead of clicking its icon, debug/error info should be returned. paste this info here and someone should be able to help.

Just looked and installed... It is a binary, you must chmod 755 it and then run it....

  happy new year !!!

  i tried running the application from command line after chmode and get the errors:

[shlomi@Shl-Linux amsn-0.94]$ ./amsn.desktop
./amsn.desktop: line 1: [Desktop: command not found
./amsn.desktop: line 6: Network: command not found

  does it says something ?
  is there a known/working application doing the same thing you know about ?

  found the Gaim application
  how do i add support for msn - i only have for icq/aol ?
  what is toc ?

...this is a desktop info file, not a binary wink.gif. do a

whereis amsn
[/code

...and at least 1 path should be returned. however many they are, only one should be a binary (usually in /usr/bin). this is the path of the file you need to run.
