Hey there everybody. I am still kinda new in this linux business. I am getting around the terminal (fast than I expected) but I am stuck on this one little issue. I installed MPlayer so far without a hitch. But when I try to play this .ogm video, all that shows is at the top of my screen is black and all fuzzy lines wiggling up and down with the audio playing. Obviously the audio is still intact and playing properly. But the video is really messed up.
Here's the command that I am typing:

"Jubei~#: mplayer Hellsing-TheUndead"

Sorry my information may seem kinda of vague but thats all I got and any help will be greatly appreciated.

And since I am here. How come I cannot install not a single RPM? Everytime I try to install with YaST, I keep getting an error message stating that "no information was found on the media"

I have Suse Linux 10.1 with KDE 3.5, running on a Toshiba Satellite A15

Your OGM problem. I don't have now any useful idea, but try to install this library:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/ogmrip

Or you can use the OGM Media Player to play your ogm files.
http://sourceforge.net/projects/ogmp

And I suggest, try to play an other ogm file, perhaps the file (you want to play) is damaged.

And the RPM. Try to install the packages from the terminal. More information here:
http://www.tuxfiles.org/linuxhelp/rpminstall.html
Or look at the manual page: man rpm

There is an other GUI program, KPackage.

But that's weird. I play the same file on my Windows with the VLC player and I don't get any problems what so ever. Hmm...I guess I shall try again. Thanks though.

Oh and thanks again for the RPM info page. It shed a lot of light on what the heck I was doing. I just can't thank enough.
