Hi

We bought Three server all came with ASUS PC-DL motherboard and Promise PDC20378(Raid ultra ATA133 Connector) onboard. We have two 80 GB hard drives connected to it and configure as hardware mirror(RAID 1).

We are trying to install Fedora-2 to all these server as mail, proxy servers but problem we are facing is not able to find driver for the PDC20378(Raid ultra ATA133 Connector).

we would really appreciate if any one of you could help us to find the driver.

Thank you in advance

 There should be drivers on the promise website, try using the RH9 drivers or, use it as the software raid it is, configure it entierly from fedora w raidtools and skip the promise bios setup.

Thanks for the reply

but unfortunately Promise web site doesn't have driver for Fedora2 they only have upto RedHat9 and I tried with RedHat9 one but still doesn't seems to work. They have uncompiled version of driver is there but i am kind of new to linux world so not much idea with it.

When i am installing, it is showing me two hard disks and once finish istalling and if i run "fdisk -l" i got this output

[root@localhost root]# fdisk -l

Disk /dev/sda: 80.0 GB, 80026361856 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 9729 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes

   Device Boot      Start         End      Blocks   Id  System
/dev/sda1   *           1          13      104391   83  Linux
/dev/sda2              14         267     2040255   82  Linux swap

Disk /dev/sdb: 80.0 GB, 80026361856 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 9729 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes

   Device Boot      Start         End      Blocks   Id  System
/dev/sdb1   *           1        9729    78148161   83  Linux
[root@localhost root]#

I am still looking for RAID driver if i can't find it that i just have to go with Software RAID(Fedora).

Thank you
